Definition:
ANZNN: The presence of regular painful contractions during this pregnancy; leading to the progressive effacement and dilatation of the cervix, eventually leading to the birth of this baby and commencing before 37 completed weeks' gestation.

Use of less than or equal to 36.6 or less than 37 weeks may prevent confusion over whether 37 completed mean 37.6 or 36.6.
