Definition:
QLD Perinatal Data Collection: Puerperium complications- Medical and obstetric complications of the mother occurring during the postnatal period up to the time of separation of care. Medical and obstetric complication of the puerperal period may cause maternal morbidity, and occasionally death, and may be an important factor in prolonging the duration of hospitalisation after childbirth.
SA and TAS provide a free text field to specify other conditions arising during the puerperium, which may capture haemorrhoids.
