Definitions:
S/T Perinatal Data Collections: VIC: A person's current relationship status in terms of a couple relationship or, for those not in a couple relationship, the existence of a current or previous registered marriage. QLD: Marital status is a core data element in a wide range of social, labour and demographic statistics. Its main purpose is to establish living arrangements of individuals, to facilitate analysis of the association of marital status with the need for and use of services and for epidemiological analysis. SA: never married, married/defacto: living presently in the same residence as partner, widowed: husband deceased and patient not remarried, divorced: previously married, but now marriage legally dissolved or separated: presently married, but living apart from husband. WA: This refers to the current relationship status of the mother, which is not necessarily her legal status. If the mother is single, but living in a defacto relationship then for the purpose of this form, record married/defacto. Defacto relationships in this context may be identified as where the mother and her partner live at the same residential address. NHMD: A person's current relationship status in terms of a couple relationship or, for those not in a couple relationship, the existence of a current or previous registered marriage, as represented by a code. NCIS: The marital status of the deceased at the time of death ABS: "Nuptiality". S/T Deaths Registration Collections: VIC: Married, widowed, never married, divorced, unknown, all marriages inc. name and surname of spouse, place of marriage, deceased's age at time of marriage. NSW, TAS, VIC, plus separated and defacto. QLD: Never married, married, divorced, widowed, defacto, unknown. NT: Never married, married, divorced, widowed, separated, defacto, tribally married now widowed, divorced now defacto, widowed now defacto, separated now defacto, unknown. Surname and given name of spouse. ACT: Domestic partnership, civil partnership, married, divorced, widowed. Previous domestic relationships. Surname and given name of spouse.SA: Marriages of deceased - date and age at marriage, surname and given names of the spouse. WA: Never married, married, divorced, separated but not divorced, widowed, unknown. Place and date of marriage and to whom. S/T Births Registration Collections: All: Date and place of marriage. ACT: Domestic partnership, civil partnership, married. NT: Traditional Aboriginal marriage yes/no. VIC PMC: A person's current relationship status in terms of a couple relationship or, for those not in a couple relationship, the existence of a current or previous registered marriage.
