Includes local anaesthetic to perineum; pudendal block; epidural or caudal block; spinal block; general anaesthesia; combined spinal-epidural block, which should be recorded for operative or instrumental delivery of the baby only. It does not include the removal of the placenta; other anaesthesia. S/T Perinatal Data Collection: NSW: Agents administered to the mother by injection or inhalation to remove sensation (feeling and pain) during birth and anaesthesia administered for the operative delivery of the baby (caesarean or instrumental delivery). Tick boxes for none, local to perineum, pudendal, spinal, epidural/caudal, combined spinal+epidural, general anaesthetic, other. VIC: Whether anaesthesia was administered to the woman for, or associated with, the operative birth of the baby (forceps, vacuum/ventouse or caesarean section).
