S/T Perinatal Data Collections:
VIC: Illness and or/birth trauma experienced by the baby up to the time of discharge.
Descriptions:
QLD: Specified conditions/illnesses/ diseases/birth trauma experienced by the baby up to the time of discharge or when the baby has reached 28 days of age: jaundice, respiratory distress, neonatal abstinence syndrome, hypo/hyperglycaemia, infection diagnosed and "other". TAS PMC: complications in the neonatal period (prior to death) - Nil, pneumothorax, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, intraventricular haemorrhage, necrotising enterocolitis, other. ACT PMC: Other conditions present - none, TTTS, idiopathic hydrops, feto-maternal haemorrhage, uterine abnormality, drug dependence/abuse, haemolytic disease, birth trauma, accident/poisoning or violence, cervical incompetence, other specified.

Additional information

VIC and QLD provide a free text field (ICD-10-AM code for VIC electronic) to specify neonatal morbidities. In addition QLD collect specified conditions and no morbidity.
