Definition:
METeOR: A clinical intervention represented by a code that is surgical in nature, and/or carries a procedural risk, and/or carries an anaesthetic risk, and/or requires specialised training, and/or requires special facilities or equipment only available in an acute care setting.
Procedure codes for interventions in the neonate are included in this item. This includes codes for ventilation, IV antibiotics in the neonate and other surgical and medical interventions. QLD PDC collect neonatal treatment which has a series of check boxes as well as "other" which is captured as an ICD-10-AM/ACHI code.
