Definitions:
METeOR: The total number of previous pregnancies experienced by the woman that have resulted in a live birth or a stillbirth. This data element includes live births and stillbirths of 20 weeks gestation or 400 grams birthweight. This data element excludes: the current pregnancy; pregnancies resulting in spontaneous or induced abortions before 20 weeks gestation and ectopic pregnancies. S/T Perinatal Data Collections: NSW: The total number of previous pregnancies of greater than or equal to 20 weeks or greater than or equal to 400g birthweight resulting in a live or stillbirth. VIC: The total number of previous pregnancies experienced by the woman that have resulted in a liveborn or a stillborn. WA: The total number of known previous pregnancies that resulted in the birth of one or more infants of at least 20 weeks gestation regardless of outcome e.g. livebirth or stillbirth (excludes this pregnancy). SA: The number of previous pregnancies resulting in births greater than 20 weeks (parity). This will exclude pregnancies resulting in ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages and terminations before 20 weeks and include pregnancies resulting in live births, (and neonatal death) and stillbirth. TAS: Parity is defined as the number of previous pregnancies, greater than 20 weeks gestation, resulting in a live birth or stillbirth. The information required is parity after this delivery from a pregnancy of 20 or more weeks gestation. NMMD: Maternal parity at the beginning of this pregnancy.
Descriptions:
ACT: Parity is the total number of previous pregnancies that have reached 20 completed weeks gestation or where the baby weighed at least 400 grams at birth, exclude the current pregnancy. NT: Number of previous pregnancies resulting in resulting in livebirths or stillbirths, excluding the current pregnancy. ACT PMC: Parity excludes this pregnancy.

QLD PDC and PMC collect outcomes of all previous pregnancies so this item can be derived from this information.
